
The Government of Maldives has today presented the National Award of Honour to three distinguished individuals and one non-governmental organization. The recipients of this prestigious award are Ahmed Amir (Fares Amir) for his contributions to literature, Ibrahim Rasheed, Managing Director of RCC, for his work in the construction industry, and the renowned presenter Najuma Hussain in the field of news and information dissemination. Additionally, the Society for Health Education (SHE) was also honored with this award.
Fares Amir has dedicated over 17 years to the advancement of Maldivian poetry and the Dhivehi language curriculum. Ibrahim Rasheed has been a prominent figure in the construction sector since 1970, spearheading numerous successful projects. Najuma Hussain has a distinguished career in broadcasting spanning over 30 years, while the Society for Health Education (SHE) is recognized as an exemplary organization for its efforts in raising health awareness, particularly in the field of Thalassemia.
