As part of the Boduthakurufaanu Magu Development Project, the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has officially commenced asphalt paving from the Henveiru Ferry Terminal to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Paving works for the subsequent section, extending from the Ministry to the Official Jetty, are scheduled to begin next week.

This project, which incorporates road widening and the installation of a modern drainage system, aims to alleviate traffic congestion within Malé. With a target completion date of the 26th of this month for the current phase, the government has further announced plans to modernize the outer road from the North Harbor area to the Dharumavantha Hospital vicinity upon the conclusion of these works.
