The court has remanded four individuals arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of intoxicants following a disturbance at an apartment in Hulhumalé. During the court proceedings, two women among the detainees asserted that they were victims of an assault and claimed their involvement was limited to attempting to de-escalate the conflict.
However, the court order highlights that police discovered empty alcohol bottles at the scene. Furthermore, it noted that one of the male suspects appeared to remain in a state of intoxication when produced before the court.
