The Maldives Police Service has issued a safety advisory for vessels navigating between Doonidhoo and Feydhoofinolhu, following an incident where several containers fell overboard from a barge docked at the Male’ Commercial Port’s outer jetty. The incident occurred last night due to turbulent seas and deteriorating weather conditions. With much of the Maldives currently experiencing severe weather and strong winds, the Maldives Meteorological Service has issued a Yellow Alert for several regions.
