Hussain Niyaz, the Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo, has highlighted that the availability of PayPal services in the Maldives is a significant achievement, noting that this service can be seamlessly accessed through Ooredoo’s m-Faisaa platform. Instead of utilizing a separate PayPal application, users can now register and conduct financial transactions directly within the m-Faisaa interface. This initiative is expected to greatly facilitate small businesses, particularly in receiving payments in US Dollars. Launched on the 15th of this month, this service represents a pivotal step toward enhancing the participation of Maldivians in the global digital economy.
