State Trading Organization (STO) has announced that it will begin the wholesale distribution of onions starting next week. Despite growing concerns and complaints regarding the rising price of onions in the local market, STO continues to maintain its retail price at the previous rate of MVR 13 per kilogram. Furthermore, the company is currently working to ensure the availability of onions through its regional outlets across the atolls.
