President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu and Minister of Foreign Affairs Irtisham Adam have extended their congratulations to the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Dr. Khalilur Rahman, on his election as the President of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
In his message, the President highlighted that this achievement is a source of pride not only for Bangladesh but for the entire South Asian region. He further expressed his confidence that the upcoming session of the General Assembly would be highly successful under the new leadership.
Similarly, the Foreign Minister expressed assurance that Dr. Khalil’s extensive experience would contribute significantly to the United Nations. She also reaffirmed the Maldives’ full support and cooperation during his tenure.
The 81st Session of the UNGA, scheduled to commence this September, serves as the premier global deliberative body for policymaking and addressing critical international issues.
