The final flight carrying Maldivian pilgrims for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage departed today with 253 passengers on board. With this departure, all Maldivian pilgrims scheduled for this year’s Hajj have now safely arrived in Saudi Arabia.

According to the Maldives Hajj Corporation, while pilgrims who traveled on previous flights have already completed their Umrah rituals, those who departed today are expected to complete their Umrah by this afternoon.

This year, a total of 1,000 pilgrims were transported via four separate flights. The “Makkah Route” initiative played a significant role in ensuring that travel and immigration procedures were conducted seamlessly and efficiently for all pilgrims.
