Following government initiatives, Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has reduced the price of jet fuel by 24 cents per liter. Previously sold at USD 1.99 per liter, the revised price is now set at USD 1.75 per liter. This strategic adjustment is aimed at providing financial relief to the Maldivian aviation sector, despite the global fluctuations in oil prices resulting from international conflicts. Furthermore, the Minister of Tourism has highlighted positive indicators of a surge in tourist arrivals, noting that major carriers, including Qatar Airways and Emirates, have decided to increase their flight frequencies to the Maldives in the upcoming period.
