
The Parliament has today announced structural changes to the Security Services Committee (241 Committee) and the Public Accounts Committee following the departure of Deputy Speaker Ahmed Nazim from these roles.
Nazim, who resigned from the two committees citing time constraints, will be succeeded by Member Hamad Abdulla in the 241 Committee and Member Ahmed Zamir in the Public Accounts Committee. Moving forward, Deputy Speaker Nazim will serve on the Environment and Climate Change Committee and the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Committee. It is noteworthy that during his tenure on these two influential committees, Nazim was recognized for his significant contributions and key legislative work.
