Moosa Fathuhy Adam has been appointed as the Secretary General (SG) of the People’s National Congress (PNC). His appointment follows the resignation of the former SG, Muaz Haleem, on Saturday.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) announcing his resignation, Muaz stated that he stepped down to fully support the efforts initiated by the Party President and the President of the Maldives, Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. These efforts aim to strengthen the party’s administration, align its activities with the public’s sentiments, and transform it into a more effective political organization.
Furthermore, Muaz noted that his decision was also based on the belief that the position of Secretary General requires an individual who can dedicate more time to its demanding responsibilities.
