President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that the outcomes of the recent by-elections for local councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDC) demonstrate that the majority of Maldivians support the national and religious ideology of the People’s National Congress (PNC).
Speaking at a gathering in AA. Rasdhoo, the President emphasized that the administration is committed to providing services to all citizens and islands with equality and justice. He assured that the government would extend its full cooperation to councils, irrespective of their political affiliations.
However, the President noted that if any council were to hinder developmental progress, the public would be informed of such actions. He further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to serving the people within the legal framework. According to the election results, the ruling PNC secured the highest number of seats and the majority of the votes.
