Minister of Health, Abdulla Nazim Ibrahim, officially inaugurated X-ray services at the Sh. Milandhoo Health Center today. Milandhoo marks the fourth island to establish new X-ray facilities under the current administration’s initiative to expand healthcare services.
The introduction of this service is expected to significantly ease the burden on patients by eliminating the need for travel to other islands for diagnostic imaging, thereby reducing associated costs. Furthermore, it will empower medical professionals to provide more efficient diagnoses and timely treatments.
In his remarks at the ceremony, Minister Nazim also highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance the health center’s infrastructure, noting that preparations are underway to introduce dialysis services and further develop the facility into a hospital.
