President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has announced that preparations are underway to commence the development of a modern indoor futsal complex in Hulhumalé. Following the signing of the project agreement and the securing of necessary financing, the President assured that the work will proceed continuously, despite any potential shifts in the global landscape.
The complex will feature a stadium capable of hosting international tournaments, along with four additional pitches, training rooms, and amenities such as a cafeteria. This significant project is prioritized to provide a permanent solution to the space constraints faced by youth playing futsal in the Greater Malé Region and to foster further advancement for the Maldives’ national futsal team on the international stage.
