The Minister of Construction and Infrastructure, Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, has stated that by the end of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s current term, Vilimale’ will be transformed into a fully developed island with comprehensive services. Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony for the construction of 300 housing units in Vilimale’, the Minister highlighted that the government has planned extensive efforts to resolve the challenges faced by the island in housing, healthcare, and education. These initiatives include the development of a tertiary-level hospital, granting permission for 10-story building constructions, road redevelopment, and further enhancing water and electricity services. In his remarks, the Minister emphasized that the government’s objective is to provide equal opportunities for the residents of Vilimale’, similar to Male’ and Hulhumale’, and to elevate the overall standard of living for its citizens.
