Minister Dr. Abdulla Muththalib has announced that the government’s newly introduced taxi line service, scheduled to launch on April 2nd, will also be available in Villimalé. The service in Villimalé will be operated using five electric vehicles. This 24-hour service, which utilizes eco-friendly vehicles, can be accessed through a dedicated mobile application. Of the 150 cars required for this project, 60 have already arrived in the Maldives, with the remaining 90 expected by the end of this month. This initiative is anticipated to significantly ease the challenges faced by the public in accessing taxi services.
