The Elections Commission (EC) has begun the process of transporting essential voting materials to various islands in preparation for the upcoming Local Council Elections and Women’s Development Committee Elections, as well as the national referendum on synchronizing future elections.
In anticipation of the polls scheduled for this Saturday, the Commission has conducted information sessions for election monitors and is currently finalizing the setup of polling stations. A total of 629 councilors will be elected during this electoral process.
