The iconic Sultan Park and Jumhooree Maidhaan, two of Malé’s most cherished recreational spots for families and children, have officially reopened following extensive renovations timed with the recent Eid holidays.

The restoration project, which commenced in August, focused on modernizing the park’s infrastructure, including the treehouse, walkways, and children’s play areas. The aesthetic appeal of these spaces has been significantly enhanced through extensive landscaping, featuring the planting of lush greenery and vibrant floral gardens to create a more serene environment.

In addition to physical upgrades such as new seating benches and the maintenance of the CCTV security network, the renovation introduces unique interactive experiences for children. This includes specially arranged activities that allow young visitors to experience certain aspects of MNDF training exercises.

Furthermore, development efforts are currently underway to upgrade and enhance the Rasfannu area, continuing the initiative to provide high-quality public spaces for the community.
