
With the SAFF U-20 Championship scheduled to commence in the Maldives this Monday, all participating nations except India are set to arrive in Male’ today. The Indian contingent is expected to land on the opening day of the tournament. A total of seven nations will compete in this prestigious regional event, with the participating teams being hosted at Barceló Nasandhura.
The Maldivian national youth team, led by captain Mohamed Ilaaan Imran, has concluded its preliminary training sessions and will officially move into their residential camp tomorrow. As preparations reach their final stages, the Galolhu National Stadium is undergoing necessary renovations to host this historic age-group international tournament—the first of its kind to be held in the Maldives. The competition is slated to continue until the 3rd of next month.
