The government has decided to develop a dedicated arena for racing and drifting by reclaiming land situated beyond the solar panels adjacent to the Bridge Highway. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced that the physical reclamation work for this project is scheduled to commence this March. Funded as an investment by the Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), this initiative marks a significant step toward promoting motorsports in a safe and controlled environment, strategically located away from residential areas.
