Speaking at the inauguration of Bank of Maldives’ new branch in Kudahuvadhoo, Minister of Finance Moosa Zameer stated that BML has effectively returned to its fundamental role as a cornerstone of the nation’s economic development. The Minister highlighted that under the administration of President Dr. Muizzu, the bank has undergone positive transformations, enabling it to play a vital role in supporting both small and large-scale businesses.
With the bank’s capital now exceeding MVR 16 billion, the Minister noted that the strengthened collaboration between the government and the bank will bring direct benefits to the citizens. He further emphasized that the primary responsibility of the national bank is to foster economic expansion by working closely with the business community.
