In his message on the occasion of International Day of Clean Energy, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu highlighted the significance of ensuring energy security for the nation’s progress. He emphasized that achieving energy security would bolster advancements in the education, health, and economic sectors, while paving the way to mitigate the impacts of climate change. The President further revealed the government’s ambitious target to ensure that 33 percent of the country’s energy needs are met through renewable sources by the year 2028. Additionally, he called for collective global efforts to protect the environment and safeguard the planet.
