The Maldives has emerged victorious in the SAFF Futsal Championship, securing the title with a flawless record by winning every match played in the tournament. Throughout the competition, the Maldivian team demonstrated dominant form by defeating Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka, finishing with a perfect tally of 18 points.
Leading the charge was Maldivian captain Mohamed Imran, who claimed the top scorer award with an impressive nine goals. In addition to being the highest-scoring team of the tournament, the Maldives also boasted the most solid defense, conceding the fewest goals. This historic triumph in the inaugural SAFF Futsal Championship cements the Maldives’ status as a powerhouse in the history of regional futsal.
