The decision to prohibit the Al Jazeera Media Network from operating and to shut down its offices within the Zionist state has been extended for an additional 90 days.

Under this directive, all broadcasting and internet service providers, including YouTube, are prohibited from hosting or facilitating Al Jazeera’s services within the occupied territories.

In 2024, the Zionist legislature passed a law enabling the banning of foreign news outlets from operating within the state. This occurred while the Zionist forces were intensifying their genocidal campaign against the people of Gaza, launching relentless attacks and martyring numerous civilians. Subsequently, in May 2024, the Zionist cabinet formally banned Al Jazeera’s operations. By September of the same year, Zionist forces raided Al Jazeera’s office in Ramallah, located in the occupied West Bank, destroying equipment and documents before sealing the premises.

Al Jazeera responded at the time by stating that Netanyahu was spreading falsehoods regarding the network. The media organization further asserted that the actions taken against them violate international law, maintaining that such measures would not deter them from their professional duties.

Last December, the Zionist legislature extended the 2024 law for an additional two years. This latest extension of the ban on Al Jazeera comes just nine days after the Zionist Communications Minister made several remarks concerning the network’s reporting.

The Zionist state has spent years attempting to silence Al Jazeera in an effort to conceal its inhumane atrocities. In 2017, the tyrannical Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, threatened to close Al Jazeera’s office in Jerusalem. In 2021, a Zionist missile strike completely destroyed the network’s office in Gaza. Furthermore, numerous Al Jazeera journalists and their families have been repeatedly targeted by Zionist attacks. Among the more than 200 Palestinian journalists martyred during the war on Gaza are several members of the Al Jazeera staff. This follows the 2022 assassination of prominent Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, who was shot and martyred by Zionist forces in the West Bank.
