Vice President Uz. Hussain Mohamed Latheef has stated that essential training facilities for Maldivian futsal players and other athletes will be facilitated in the near future.
Addressing the challenges faced by teams participating in the SAFF Futsal Championship due to the lack of indoor pitches, the Vice President highlighted that efforts to establish sports facilities are proceeding swiftly through the Ministry of Sports, Fitness and Recreation, in alignment with the pledge made by President Dr. Muizzu.
In this regard, Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has already been commissioned to construct multi-sport complexes within the Greater Malé Area. These facilities are set to be developed in both phases of Hulhumalé as well as in Villimalé, providing athletes with enhanced opportunities for training and professional development.
