Maldivian, the national airline, has announced the launch of a new flight network connecting Addu City, Fuvahmulah City, Gaafu Alifu, and Gaafu Dhaalu atolls, effective February 1, 2025. These scheduled operations will utilize 15-seater Twin Otter aircraft, with fares ranging between MVR 500 and MVR 900.
The introduction of these routes is expected to significantly enhance travel convenience for residents of the southern region, while fostering regional economic growth and tourism development. This initiative aligns with the government’s strategic vision to strengthen regional connectivity and establish Gan International Airport as a central aviation hub for the south. Bookings for these flights are now officially open.
