The Maldives has welcomed more than 120,000 tourists so far this year, representing a 10.2% increase compared to the same period last year. According to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Tourism, the country currently sees an average of 7,099 daily arrivals. Russia, Italy, and the United Kingdom have emerged as the leading source markets to date.
In addition to Velana International Airport, both Maafaru and Gan International Airports continue to facilitate a significant number of tourist arrivals. This positive momentum indicates further expansion within the tourism sector, following the substantial growth recorded by the Maldives last year.
