
The Non-Resident Ambassador of the Republic of Maldives to the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General (Retired) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, has officially presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Russia.
Ambassador Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef presented his credentials to President Vladimir Putin during a formal ceremony held at the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow. During the audience, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings and best wishes of His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to the Russian President.
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu appointed Lieutenant General (Retired) Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef as the Non-Resident Ambassador to the Russian Federation on March 11, 2025. Ambassador Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef currently serves as the resident Ambassador of Maldives to the Republic of Türkiye.
