The government aims to fully complete the land reclamation project for Hulhumalé Phase 3 within the next month and a half. This high-priority project is currently progressing at a rapid pace through the utilization of large-scale dredgers. Notably, the balloting process for the allocation of 698 land plots under the ‘Binveriya’ housing scheme has already been concluded.
Upon the completion of the Phase 3 reclamation, efforts will transition to the land reclamation project in Gulhifalhu. These initiatives represent a key component of the government’s large-scale infrastructure projects designed to provide a sustainable and permanent solution to the housing challenges faced in the Greater Malé Region.
