Air pollution levels in four regions of the Maldives—specifically Villingili, Kudahuvadhoo, Gan, and Fuvahmulah—continue to remain at levels that pose a risk to public health. This condition is expected to persist for the next five days and is attributed to the haze drifting from India and the Himalayan region during the Northeast Monsoon. Although visibility has shown slight improvement compared to yesterday, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) urges the public, especially vulnerable groups such as children, pregnant women, and individuals with respiratory issues, to take necessary precautions and wear N95 masks when outdoors.
