K. Huraa has confirmed their place in the semi-finals of the Raajje Super League, a nationwide tournament organized by the Volleyball Association of Maldives (VAM). Concurrently, L. Maabaidhoo has significantly bolstered their prospects of advancing to the semi-final stage.
In yesterday afternoon’s fixture, Huraa achieved a commanding victory over Male’ City, winning the match comfortably in straight sets. Huraa dominated the sets with scores of 25-9, 25-9, and 25-17. Maaya Hussain Solah was named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance.
L. Maabaidhoo kept their semi-final aspirations alive by defeating D. Maaeboodhoo 3-1 in last night’s match. Maabaidhoo claimed the first two sets despite a spirited challenge from Maaeboodhoo, with scores of 25-21 and 26-24. Maaeboodhoo displayed resilience in the third set, narrowly taking it 26-24.
However, Maabaidhoo demonstrated their superiority in the fourth set, winning 25-19 to secure the match victory. Maabaidhoo’s Fathimath Jusan Zareer was awarded the Player of the Match title.
