
The President’s Office has announced that President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will meet with the residents of Vilimale’ tonight. In a recent post on X, Presidential Spokesperson Heena Waleed stated that in accordance with President Muizzu’s plan to meet with residents of the Malé region to closely engage with them and seek their opinions and counsel on various matters, the first meeting will be held with the people of Vilimale’.
Heena stated that President Muizzu’s meeting with Vilimale’ residents is scheduled for 8:30 tonight at Muhyiddin School. “Therefore, we extend an invitation to all residents of Vilimale’ to attend this meeting,” Heena said. Since taking the oath of office, President Muizzu has visited every inhabited island in the Maldives over the past two years, meeting with the residents of each island. This was also a pledge he made. During these trips, the President met with the citizens, councils, and heads of the Women’s Development Committees of every island. He also initiated development projects on every island and inaugurated completed projects in some.
