A Warm Welcome to the President from Thoddoo

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has arrived in Thoddoo as part of his tour to the inhabited islands of North Ari Atoll. Upon the President’s arrival in Thoddoo, a large number of institutional leaders and general public gathered at the harbor area to welcome him. The President is scheduled to meet with the Thoddoo Island Council and the Women’s Development Committee. During these meetings, discussions will be held regarding the development needs of the island and the priorities of the residents. A public meeting with the residents is also arranged.

Additionally, the President will officially inaugurate the Dollar ATM service established in Thoddoo. He will also participate in the groundbreaking ceremonies for the Bank of Maldives (BML) Thoddoo Branch and the new Police Station being constructed on the island. Furthermore, the President will take part in the foundation laying ceremony for the new Council Office building and the commencement of work on the Badminton Court being developed in Thoddoo. The President will also attend the opening ceremony of the International Table Tennis Tournament held in Thoddoo. During this three-day trip to Ari Atoll, the President is scheduled to visit 8 inhabited islands in North Ari Atoll. His next destinations are Rasdhoo and Ukulhas.

This trip to North Ari Atoll is part of the President’s series of visits aimed at touring all atolls of the Maldives and meeting with the councils of atolls, islands, and cities. The President is accompanied by some cabinet ministers and senior officials from various government institutions on this trip.
