Police Station in AA. Maalhos Begins Operations

The police station in AA. Maalhos has officially begun its operations. The formal commencement of the police station’s activities was inaugurated during President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s current visit to AA. Atoll. A ceremony was held today in Maalhos to officially launch the operational work of the police station. President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu participated in this ceremony. The Minister of Home Affairs, Arts and Culture, Ali Ihsan, officially inaugurated the operational work of the police station at the ceremony. He was accompanied by Commissioner of Police Ismail Naveen, Managing Director of Road Development Corporation Ibrahim Nazim, and the President of the Maalhos Council.

The police station being developed in Maalhos is a project entrusted to RDC (Road Development Corporation). The government’s goal is to establish police stations and Maldives Police Service in every island of the country within two years. Accordingly, work has already begun this year to establish police stations in many islands where they currently do not exist.
