On the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has strongly condemned the acts of violence targeted towards humanitarian workers and reaffirmed the Maldives’ steadfast solidarity with those in the service of humanity. Highlighting the dire situation in Gaza, the President noted the international community’s failure to protect civilians and aid workers, and issued an urgent call for a permanent ceasefire. Furthermore, he paid tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives in humanitarian service and urged the global community to uphold international law and work collectively to ensure the safety and protection of aid workers.
