Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has successfully defended their UEFA Champions League title after overcoming Arsenal in a closely contested final. The match, held in Budapest, Hungary, ended in a 1-1 stalemate at the conclusion of regular time. PSG ultimately secured the championship by winning the penalty shootout with a 4-3 scoreline.
Arsenal initially took the lead early in the match courtesy of a goal by Kai Havertz. However, PSG managed to equalize in the second half through a penalty converted by Ousmane Dembélé. During the decisive penalty shootout, Arsenal’s Eze and Gabriel failed to find the back of the net. While Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya managed to save the penalty taken by PSG’s Mendes, it was not enough to deny PSG the victory.
