President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has categorically dismissed rumors circulated by opposition factions alleging plans to remove Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef from office, describing such claims as entirely baseless and fabricated.
Speaking at a press conference held at the President’s Office, the President asserted that these are false narratives propagated out of extreme political desperation. He further noted that such conduct underscores the absence of a responsible opposition within the country.
In addition, the President refuted allegations suggesting that a meeting was held in Singapore to discuss the removal of the Deputy Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Ahmed Nazim. He clarified that his recent visit to Singapore was a private trip spent with his family and maintained that no political discussions or deliberations took place during the visit.
