The number of tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom to the Maldives has surpassed the 100,000 mark this year, solidifying the UK’s position as the third-largest source market for the Maldivian tourism industry. According to the latest statistics, the Maldives has welcomed a total of 1.2 million tourists so far this year, with China and Russia leading as the primary markets. Despite the global travel disruptions caused by the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East, the Ministry of Tourism remains confident that arrival figures for this year will remain robust and are not expected to decline compared to the previous year.
