
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has stated that despite the ongoing efforts to overcome economic challenges, all development projects linked to the aspirations of the people will be completed by the second quarter of 2028. Speaking at AA. Ukulhas, the President announced that land reclamation of an additional 2 hectares for housing and coastal protection works in Ukulhas would commence within the next two weeks. He further highlighted that empowering the economy and creating economic opportunities for youth and women remain key priorities of the government. Additionally, the President revealed that this administration has completed 590 projects to date—marking significant progress compared to previous governments—and noted that 1,635 projects are currently underway across the Maldives.
