De Paul leaves Atletico Madrid for Messi’s Inter Miami

Argentina’s midfielder Rodrigo De Paul, who was playing for Atletico Madrid in Spain, has decided to leave the club and transfer to Inter Miami in the United States. The 31-year-old De Paul decided to move to Inter Miami, which is the club where Argentina’s captain Lionel Messi is also playing. Currently, Inter Miami is being coached by Javier Mascherano, who previously played for Argentina’s national team alongside Messi. During the four seasons De Paul spent at Atletico Madrid under the guidance of Argentina’s Diego Simeone, he played about 200 matches for the club.

Rodrigo De Paul, who started his professional football career with Argentina’s Racing Club in 2012, has since played for Valencia in Spain and Udinese in Italy. De Paul gained the most recognition during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. He played a crucial role in the midfield when Argentina won the championship in that tournament. With Argentina, De Paul has won the FIFA World Cup, as well as two Copa America football tournaments and the Finalissima gold medal.

Known for having a close relationship with Lionel Messi, De Paul has recently met with Messi and Inter Miami’s owner, former England captain David Beckham, in Miami.
