
President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has departed on a four-day trip to the inhabited islands of South Miladhunmadulu Atoll (N. Atoll). According to the President’s Office, during this trip, he will visit the inhabited islands of N. Atoll, meet with councils and women’s development committees, and discuss the development needs and priorities of the people. He will also meet with the residents and assess their living conditions. The President’s trip includes plans to inaugurate various development projects initiated by the government on different islands. This includes includes starting work on fitness and recreation centers on some islands and establishing police posts.
Additionally, the President’s Office stated that during this trip, he will initiate some of the government’s planned projects for the advancement of schools and health centers on the islands. The President’s trip will cover 13 inhabited islands in South Miladhunmadulu Atoll. He is scheduled to visit N. Atoll Henbadhoo, Holhudhoo, Lhohi, Kudafari, Kendhikulhudhoo, Velidhoo, Manadhoo, Magoodhoo, Maalhendhoo, Maafaru, Miladhoo, Fodhdhoo, and Landhoo.
This trip to the islands of South Miladhunmadulu Atoll is part of a series of visits the President is undertaking to all atolls in the Maldives, meeting with local councils of atolls, islands, and cities. The President is accompanied by some cabinet ministers and heads of government institutions. The President’s trip to the inhabited islands of South Miladhunmadulu Atoll is scheduled to conclude with his return to Male’ on Thursday.
