
In the semi-final of the men’s division of the VAM Cup 2025, organized by the Volleyball Association of Maldives (VAM), the Maldives National Defence Force Club has secured the last spot in the final by defeating Hura Community Club in straight three sets. In the last match of the semi-finals played last night at the indoor court of the Youth Center, the Armed Forces Club displayed an exceptionally strong performance. The Armed Forces Club won the sets with scores of 25-20, 25-21, and 25-22.
With this result, the VAM Cup final will be contested between the Maldives National Defence Force Club and Club HDC. These two teams also met in last year’s VAM Cup final. HDC won the championship last year. This year too, HDC is determined to defend the title. The club’s coach, Mohamed Sajid, has stated that the team’s players are in good form and fully prepared for the final.
The third-place playoff match of this tournament will be held this evening between Hura Community Club and Dhandimaguu Sports and Recreation Club. The final match between the Maldives National Defence Force Club and Club HDC will take place tonight.
