Dharumavantha Hospital has signed an agreement with the Children’s Hospital of Soochow University in China to improve the quality of pediatric surgical care services. In a post shared on social media, IGMH stated that this agreement with the Children’s Hospital of Soochow University is an important step towards improving pediatric surgical care services in the Maldives. IGMH also mentioned that under this agreement between the two parties, efforts to advance the Maldivian health system will also progress.
Furthermore, under this agreement, it has been arranged to share information between healthcare experts and those training in the field. While an agreement has been made with a Chinese hospital to improve the quality of pediatric surgical care services, it is worth noting that the 100-bed tertiary hospital project being developed by the government in Vilimale’ is also a project carried out with Chinese assistance.
