President condemns Israeli attacks on Iran

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has condemned the attacks launched by Israel on Iran last night. The President condemned these attacks in a post shared on social media. The President stated that he strongly condemns the attacks by Israel on Iran.

The President said that these actions by Israel are in violation of international laws and will lead to regional instability. He also said that immediate measures need to be taken to prevent the situation from worsening further.

The Maldivian government has also condemned the Israeli attacks. In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that this act by Israel, which violates international law, poses a threat to peace and security in the Middle East and will further endanger regional security. The statement also mentioned that in conjunction with the ongoing attacks by Israeli colonial forces on Gaza, these attacks on Iran will affect the overall safety and security of the Middle East. The Maldivian government called on the international community to take immediate action to force Israel to stop its illegal actions immediately and to take swift measures to prevent further deterioration of regional interests.

The Maldives has been consistently condemning the attacks by Israel on Gaza and other countries in the Middle East. The government has also been advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in various international forums. In an early morning attack, Israel targeted Iranian military and nuclear facilities, killing the head of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, Hossein Salami, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, and the Commander of the Emergency Command.

Additionally, 6 nuclear scientists were killed, and in an attack on a civilian area, several children were also killed. In retaliation, Iran has also launched attacks today. However, Israel has intercepted over 100 drone attacks launched by Iran. These attacks used Shahed drones. Israel was able to intercept Iran’s attacks with significant assistance from Jordan.

Jordan’s Royal Air Force and air defense systems have confirmed intercepting Iranian drones and missiles that entered Jordanian airspace.
