Dhiddhoo Sports Club commenced their maiden campaign in the Maldivian top flight with a 1-0 victory over Buru Sports Club. In the match held at Galolhu Stadium, the decisive goal was scored in the 24th minute by foreign forward Tite, who converted a well-executed free kick.
While both sides created several scoring opportunities throughout the encounter, neither could further alter the scoreline. The closing stages of the match saw Buru Sports Club reduced to ten men after Shamweel received a red card. Additionally, the match was temporarily halted due to an injury sustained by Buru’s Usama.
Following this successful start to the league, Dhiddhoo Sports Club will face Victory Sports Club in their next fixture, while Buru Sports Club is scheduled to play against Odi Sports Club.
