
Chief Justice Al-Ustadh Ahmed Muthasim Adnan stated that the new regulations for Magistrate Courts, set to take effect on October 1st, will bridge an 18-year legislative gap and significantly strengthen the judicial process. Speaking at a training program held in L. Gan, the Chief Justice highlighted that these regulations will eliminate existing discrepancies across various islands regarding case registration, legal procedures, and fee collection, establishing a uniform system throughout the Maldives. Furthermore, he emphasized that these reforms would expedite services and bolster public confidence in the justice system. He also urged all judicial staff to provide services characterized by fairness and compassion.
