Maldives Premier Bank (MPB) has officially inaugurated its first branch at H. Sunleet, marking its entry as the ninth commercial bank in the Maldives. The bank, which was inaugurated by the Governor of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA), Ahmed Munawar, holds a ‘Tier 1’ license to provide services to both individuals and businesses.
Highlighting the significant representation of women on the bank’s board, Chairperson Aisha Noorain Janah remarked that this inauguration represents a significant milestone in becoming a key participant in the financial industry. According to the MMA, the introduction of MPB is expected to bolster the national financial sector and foster healthy competition within the market.
