As part of the government’s strategic efforts to establish a permanent solution for waste management issues across the Maldives, the necessary vehicles to expand WAMCO’s operations to the atolls have now been officially handed over to the corporation. In alignment with the President’s pledge to introduce WAMCO’s services to atoll capitals and urban centers, 22 waste collection pickups were delivered. This project aims to establish waste management centers in 129 islands by July next year, further strengthening the nation’s system for safe and sustainable waste disposal.
