
Minister of Health Ghila Ali has revealed that over MVR 60 million allocated for healthcare projects during the previous administration has been wasted. Addressing the Parliament, the Minister stated that contracts for 16 projects, which were incurring financial losses due to prolonged delays in commencement, have been officially terminated. She further noted that the government is currently working to recover the advance payments issued for these projects.
Minister Ghila emphasized that the current administration initiates projects only after securing the necessary budgetary funds. She highlighted that the primary objective is to strengthen and enhance the healthcare system through strategic development, ensuring that essential public services remain uninterrupted.
