The Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture has officially launched the “Dhanduveri Manfaa” grant and the “Dhanduveri Nafaa” loan scheme, aimed at providing financial assistance to the farming community. The “Dhanduveri Manfaa” is a 15 million Rufiyaa grant scheme specifically targeting Haa Alif, Haa Dhaalu, and Shaviyani Atolls. Meanwhile, the “Dhanduveri Nafaa” loan has been introduced as a newly restructured scheme operating under Islamic financing principles. The primary objectives of these programs are to facilitate investment in modern agricultural practices, enhance national food security, and bolster the country’s economic growth. Applications for these schemes are now open through the SME digital portal.
